Confidence and self-esteem
-
Healthy friendships
-
Emotional regulation
-
Would benefit from a strengths-based approach that celebrates individuality and promotes belonging.
-
Learn best through nature-based, practical and creative experiences.
Bloom may not be the most appropriate provision if:
-
The young person requires intensive clinical mental health treatment as their primary intervention.
-
There are significant risks that require specialist or secure provision beyond Bloom's remit.
-
The provision is unable to safely meet the young person's needs following assessment.
We welcome girls with a wide range of strengths, interests and support needs.
Bloom is a specialist alternative provision created specifically for girls. Our programmes are designed for children and young people who were born female and identify as she/her or they/them.
Our approach is based on the unique experiences of girls, recognising that many face challenges in education that are often misunderstood or overlooked, particularly those who are neurodivergent, experience anxiety, or struggle with emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). By keeping our groups specifically for girls, we create a calm, safe and nurturing environment where participants can build confidence, develop meaningful friendships and feel comfortable being themselves.
We are committed to treating every young person with dignity, kindness and respect, and we ask everyone accessing Bloom to respect the purpose of our girls-only provision.
